Location Capabilities

We began our business working exclusively on location. We still do a lot of traveling and can do almost everything we do in the studio out on the road. Our equipment is always travel ready and we can organize any needed logistics for larger projects. Our lighting gear, digital and traditional systems are all set up for location use, and we have lots of experience on projects worldwide as well as just up the street!

Since 1982 Kevin Downey has worked in more than 40 countries. Our business was built on a reputation for making great lighting in difficult places, so we are very comfortable improvising and problem solving. Deserts, rain forests, mountain tops, deep caves and strange cities have been our training grounds. Architectural clients are frequently impressed with our mix of creative perspective and light control even if we need to work from a ceiling to get it. Corporate, Research and Industrial imagery can be made quite compelling and even reluctant subjects can be fantastic with the right approach. We welcome inquiries and challenges.
